Attitudes a recipe for consumer purchase decisions

Attitudes are learned predispositions towards people, objects and events. Attitudes are responsible for our responses and are not inborn but are learnt from people around us.
Our attitudes influence our purchase decisions and consumer behavior. A person having a carefree attitude will buy an object without much involvement. People, who want to play safe and avoid risk talking, will go for a safe investment. People, who want convenience and are short of domestic help, will have positive attitudes towards canned and frozen foods. Khan M. (2006: pg 28)

For example I experienced some of the people always not preferring discounts therefore once they are told of a price of goods or services they do not ask for discounts this surely affects buying decision of these customers as once they are told of the price that they cannot afford they do not ask for discount but rather departing from selling venues as they see negotiating price is nothing other than wastage of time.
