WAR AGAINST ALBINO KILLERS


Lack of education is the major contributory factor leading to social discrimination and stigmatisation of people with albinism. The community, therefore, needs to have knowledge of people with albinism in order to understand that they are also human beings who deserve the right to live in peace and happiness like other people.
Chief justice honorable Othman Chande once he was speaking last week in ceremony of 43 new deputy registrars of the High Court and Court of Appeal, he was emphasised that, the judiciary was determined to resolve all pending cases involving suspected killers of albinos.
Also he was appealed to the public to cooperate with investigative machineries to identify the criminals or offenders, volunteer to give evidence in court when required to assist the prosecution and the court in determining the cases. Recently, four people were sentenced to death for the murder of an albino woman in Geita.
