Are we ready to accommodate political changes in Tanzania?

I like the definition of change by Tricia Emerson T. and Stewart M. (2011) they define change as an attempt to capture a benefit opportunity. It is an ability of seeing opportunities not only seeing opportunities but acting upon these opportunities. Political changes is an acknowledged fact in Tanzania, it has been acknowledged by politician, it has been acknowledged by activists, it has even been acknowledged by the civil societies, religious institution and many other institutions as a growing segment of this nation. But the question remains; are we totally integrated to the political will of this nation, are we fully fledged and ready to bear the fruits and consequences of politics.
My very point to this concept is that; we have been in different four regimes of which many things good and bad being witnessed; but my emphasis is from the year 1977 where the country was declared a single party county under Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and in the year 1992 where the country enacted multipartism as a democratic system involving multiple parties where in the year 1995 a country had a first election under many political parties.
From those days little has been achieved and in my view, I see slight changes in the politics of Tanzania since the oppositions have been denied their right to exercise multiparty system more so the opposition parties still have less power to take over and compete with the ruling party (CCM) despite some of the weakness that are manifested by poor political system and system of leadership by the ruling party. In my view also I see there is no room for the rights to freedom of expression and movement, the excessive use of police force. All these threaten the growth and undermine peoples’ participation in the grounds of politics.
In my view I think the following things need to be done in order to ensure the permanent changes that will embed accountability, true democracy, equal legislative and representation in national development. First we need to work on our constitution as the only avenue that we can exercise true democracy, to inflict people with a political power to choose and elect leaders who shall be accountable to them and finally fight against corruption as this is a cancer that is eating us.

But my question to all Tanzania and actually every body’s question should be are we ready to accommodate the forces and consequences of political bitterness that shall be brought to bear in the course of full fledging the national in a serious political change?
