Bishops of Catholic Want Referendum to be Held After General Election

The Catholic Bishops of Tanzania they are demanding that the exercise on the referendum for the new constitution to be postponed until after the general election in October this year.

This was according to the general agreement from the bishops of Tanzania and to their pastoral letter that was issued recently after and signed by the President of Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC), his lordship Ngalalekumtwa, the Bishops states that in spite of the good things in the Draft Constitution there are still some cardinal/serious issues that require consideration which if neglected, could lead the society into the wrong direction.
