In the normal lives of Tanzania people as they live in their societies, women are given less chance to express their feelings, and to think widely in making decisions as a family member. Men see women as weaker people in the society and they always are discriminated, oppressed, exploited, denied and humiliated by men. They are dominated and controlled by men in the society and men are considered as heads of families in the society. These social issues are among gender issues that mostly affect women in their families and societies that they live.
Most men see a woman as a sexual object. Women also are looked as weaker and poor people in the society. They are people with poor thinking capacity, lazy and poor in making decisions. People in the society also look a woman as a person who has no power to speak like man. It is believed that woman is one who causes conflict in the family. Women look as unfaithful, betrayal and they do things with careless attitude in the family.
The good thing to say is that; women are good workers; they can bring impact in the economic matters. Do not perceive women in a negative manner. Women as source of development in the society, they can do the best like men if they will be empowered. Let us to empower them to create changes in supporting gender equality.
