Soccer and the dream of prosperity, wealth and fame, why are Tanzanian players most of times fail to achieving that very dream? It might not be the question that most people have self-asked but the truth is that, the very same ignorance has been one of many reasons that have led to this crisis.
Lack of professional football coaches have led to even the natural football talents to lose their taste and aspirations as well as the confident to see themselves in greater levels like the ones in Europe. Failure of improving football pitches to attract many talents, lack of clear governmental policies to support Ministry of Sports is among the many reasons that have acted as setbacks towards achievement of the good fortune dreamed by many players.
Policies should be modified by the government to show they are more concerned with wanting to raise the game level by both improving football environment in the country, ranging from better playing pitches to high support in terms of award presenting to increase motivation rate whenever the boys step into the fields. By doing so the players will self-employ through sports reducing the unemployment rate, achieving greater heights of playing in modern and sophisticated leagues where they will be paid sufficiently and be able to bring our country foreign currency with pride.
